Gillian Marie – Salon Owner

Gillian is an immensely passionate hairstylist boasting over two decades of experience. Her profound love for crafting unique hairstyles is matched only by her unwavering commitment to ensuring every client looks and feels their absolute best.

Her work frequents the catwalk and has placed highly if not won several hair events and has travelled internationally with her work.

Commencing her hairstyling journey at the tender age of 17 in 2003, Gillian’s dedication led her to purchase her first salon, Strands of Colour Hair and Beauty, in 2009. Over the course of 6.5 years, Gillian not only owned and managed this thriving hair and beauty establishment but also nurtured and educated a team of 18 staff members. Even amidst her managerial responsibilities, Gillian continued to create stunning hairstyles for her cherished clientele. Unfortunately in 2016, she relocated and sold her share in the business.

In 2016, Gillian became a freelance hairdresser and concurrently worked as the hairstylist for Mater Hospital in North Sydney, where her artistry brought solace to patients who were unable to tend to their haircare due to illness.

Since 2019 Gillian has opened a home hair salon in Gladesville and looks forward to seeing all her existing clients and welcomes new clients to come and experience her magic touch.
